Special Abilities:
- Wolf Form - As is typical for werewolves, Elliot can transform at will into a giant gray wolf. Its fur matches his human form's dark hair, being mostly black, but the black fades on his sides and back to a more grizzled gray-blue tone. His front right leg is white, as is his face and his other three paws. Because of these extensive white markings, his wolf form's eyes are a brilliant husky blue and his nose and flesh are a light pink color. If he wasn't so big (large enough to be ridden by even an adult human) he might pass as a dog. However, he still has all of the physical features of an otherwise normal wolf- his ears are short and pointed, his muzzle is long and tapered though it's noticeably thicker than most wolves and is a little dog like in design, he has a thick coat of fur that keeps him warm in any weather and he has short white claws on his feet. None of his tattoos show in this form, as his fur covers them, but his scars do remain visible, which can sometimes be used to identify him. He takes this form a lot, able to change at will and has a remarkable mastery of shapeshifting, he almost explodes into werewolf form rather than taking a long time to slowly change, it's almost instantaneous with him. But he does have to take his wolf form during the night of the full moon. He retains most of his faculties during this time, having a reasonable amount of control over his actions, but he is noticeably more aggressive and boorish as a wolf, especially when he is angry or taunted, he can be instinctive and impulsive in this form, which often gets him into trouble.
- Enhanced Physical Strength - Like all werewolves, Elliot is supernaturally strong, though even compared to others of his kind he is notably powerful physically. He takes care of his figure and likes to work out, so he has more muscle built up on top of his supernatural abilities, making him stronger than werewolves that do not take care of themselves quite so well. He can bend steel with his bare hands, and can pick up small vehicles if he needs to, he is not to be underestimated in a physical confrontation. Even vampires are wary of the strength of the blue wolf. His strength is exaggerated in his wolf form, which like his human form is well built and muscular, allowing him to jump, climb, bite and even throw opponents like they are weightless. He is a vicious fighter.
- Enhanced Speed - Again common for his species, Elliot is supernaturally fast and agile as well as strong. However, because he is so muscular, he does not move as quickly as some leaner, younger or otherwise sleeker wolves might. However, he can still easily outrun humans and even vehicles, even in his human form he can breech 65 mph, able to keep up with cars on a highway. As a wolf, he is even faster but not by much and is generally considered slow for a werewolf. He can jump really well though, his powerful leg muscles launching him up and over things with ease. He can run up a vertical surface if he needs to, almost seeming to defy gravity sometimes. He is not faster than your average vampire though and is often made fun of for this by other werewolves. He's more about strength than speed and some find that hilariously pathetic.
- Enhanced Senses - The most notable of his abilities, Elliot has some of the keenest senses of any creature in Ashford. His sense of smell is unmatched - he can smell blood from up to fifteen miles away and can track scent trails that are months or even years old. He can smell human pheromones, so he can tell when someone is attracted to him or someone else in the room, he can sense fear in the way that the heartbeat speeds up or skips beats depending on what is being said, he can identify someone's age, sex, sexual orientation, diet and some other things about their personality without exchanging a word with them. It's all in the sense of smell, though his hearing is also really good, on par with most canines. He also has great eyesight at night, but during the day bright light can be easily obstructive, if not straight up blinding. But in low light, his eyes are sharp, so he actually tends to do his job with the lights dimmed, just to make things easier on him.
- Healing Factor - Like pretty much all werewolves, Elliot has a supernatural ability to heal from injuries. It is nothing compared to a vampire or demon, in the face of most other supernatural creatures he heals pretty slowly. But it is still superhuman, broken bones take weeks to heal rather than months, even deep cuts will heal much faster than usual. But his healing process is still natural- cuts scab over, bruises change colors, broken bones must be properly set before they will heal back correctly, and if a lot of damage is done to him, he will absolutely die, he is not immune to damage in the least bit. He just recovers faster than humans do, but again it is pretty slow compared to most other supernatural creatures. When knocked unconscious or seriously wounded, he will automatically revert to human form, and like all werewolves he is weak against silver. Pure silver burns him like acid and only a small amount of it could easily kill him should it enter his bloodstream and reach his heart or, more notably, his brain. Every other part of his body can heal, but his brain cannot change and damage done to it is often permanent.
- Imprinting - A lesser known quality of some werewolves, Elliot is capable of imprinting on others, specifically he believes that he will imprint on his soul mate. Werewolves are nothing if not loyal and devoted to their loved ones and families, so when they take a mate, they take it very seriously. Imprinting is often part of this process. Once he has imprinted on someone, he becomes telepathically attached to them, allowing him to monitor them even from great distances. This bond exists regardless of what form his is in and his Soul Mate, once imprinted, will be able to control him in wolf form. Any command given by his bondmate is unavoidably compelling to him so he always does what he is told by this person. His breed of werewolf only imprints on one person in their lives and should that person die, the wolf is left alone, unable to love again. However, there is some evidence that bondmates may be reincarnated, a process that does not destroy the bond between them and may allow the werewolf to find his bondmate again in their next life.
- "Rebel Yell" - This one is unique to Elliot. Because of a brief visit to hell when he was younger and tried to kill himself, Elliot has returned from the underworld with the ability to emit a powerful concussive blast of air from his mouth. It is very powerful, more than enough to knock most opponents off of their feet, but, though he likes to call it his Rebel Yell, it does not actually have a sound attached to it. Because of the nature of the sound barrier, which this yell breaks, it releases a shockwave that cannot be properly interpreted by human ear drums, so it just sounds like a big deep blast of air. At close range, it is so powerful that it can burst an ear drum or two if anyone is nearby, but particularly humans. However, this ear drum damage is very reversable, victims usually go deaf for about 48 hours before their body heals and their ear drum is back to normal. A busted ear drum is terribly painful though so those who know of this ability like to steer clear of it. It takes him a moment to change it up and his eyes glow brightly when he is about to use it, so it is pretty obviously telegraphed and is therefore easy to avoid. He must brace himself before using this ability, lest it blow him backward, so he cannot move while using this ability, making it easy to dodge, especially if you can fly.
Weapons:
- Wolf Form - Obviously, being a werewolf, Elliot does most of his fighting as a wolf. His wolf form is massive, easily the size of a horse, standing over five feet tall at the shoulder and weighing about 1800 lbs. Not many creatures can stand up to something like that and, having excellent control over his shifting abilities, Elliot can take this form whenever he wants to. It does react to his emotions as well, and anything that can get him angry in any way has a chance to cause an involuntary shift as the wolf in him seeks to defend itself. However, Elliot remains in control most of the time. Instinct and impulse are very powerful feelings in his wolf form, so he tends to be more brash, more aggressive and more violent when in this form, always looking for a fight. But he is rarely ever completely unhinged from himself and always seems to maintain most of his personality and memories and such, even when shifted. Good news for his friends and family, whom he remembers well and therefore does not attack or hurt them, but bad news for his rivals and people that he does not like, who do not get the same courtesy.
- Partial Shifting - Having been a werewolf for his whole life, Elliot is a masterful shifter, even despite his generally young age and appearance. He has the unique ability to only shift part of the way into his wolf form, usually just growing his nails into claws and his teeth into fangs to bite and scratch and fight with. If he needs to run fast, he can change his legs into a wolf's, allowing him to run faster and jump higher in a form that still remains mostly human in shape and structure. This is his usual method for fighting, especially if humans are nearby or watching. He can shift so subtly that humans really don't notice it much and that helps him to stay hidden, while still taking care of business. He has a bit of a fiery temper, something that gets worse when he even only slightly shifts, and if pushed too far, it is very easy to get him to shift fully in response to emotions. So he tries to avoid using his wolf abilities whenever he can.
- Hand-to-Hand Combat - Elliot is not a fan of guns, you never know which ones might have silver bullets, so he tends to not trust anyone with one and obviously never uses them himself. His wolf form is more than enough to handle most fights but, should he really find himself in a serious scrap, Elliot is known for his ability to fight one on one, man to man. He trains as a boxer, not to compete but just as a hobby, as well as other forms of Martial Arts that include kick-boxing, Karate, and Krav Maga. So he is an excellent fighter, even if he is restricted to his human form, able to wield his fists better than most can wield a handgun. He is not a flawless fighter of course, though he is well versed in most kinds of martial arts, he tends to lean heavily on his fists and does not do much in terms of footwork so that can be somewhat limiting. He's also got some piss poor balance sometimes, easy to trip up. But with super strength powering every swing of his fists and with a lot of knowledge about fighting, Elliot is no one to start beef with, even if shifting is out of the question for whatever reason.
- Attack Dog: Hardy - Being a werewolf, Elliot has a soft spot for animals, but especially other canines and he grew up with many dogs and even normal wolves sharing his childhood home. So when his previous dog Panzer died of cancer, he was quick to pick up someone new, even though it was hard to say goodbye to Panzer. Hardy is a bullmastiff rescue, adopted from a shelter when he was still a puppy. Elliot has trained him to be a guard dog for his tattoo shop, so the dog is almost always with him, going with him to work and walking around town with him. Hardy is an excellent dog, generally calm and laid-back but able to jump to attention if Elliot seems nervous about something. The two have an incredible bond and Hardy would protect Elliot with his life even without command, but he was trained to be this way. As one can imagine, he is not a fan of strangers and tends to growl and bark at newcomers to the shop. He's never bitten anyone but he definitely has it in him, and since he weighs almost 150 lbs, some people consider this a powerful weapon. He is really only effective against humans, though his strong jaws can definitely damage other supernaturals, Hardy himself is not supernatural in any way so he usually stays out of fights with other magical beings, oftentimes at Elliot's command. Hardy always wants to help to protect his owner but one good punch from a vampire could probably kill him so, Elliot usually tells the dog to stay back, even when he is getting his ass kicked. Hardy is very important to him so seeing the dog in pain in any way makes him ill.
