Hello and welcome to "Shadow of our Eyes" an original supernatural role-play forum. We hope you'll consider us for all your role-playing needs, but first before you register be sure to review the below rules as everyone who joins is saying they agree to these terms upon registering. The rules are as followed:
1.) Respect!
I don't expect everyone to get along, but I do expect members to respect the forum and keep personal disputes private. If for some reason you can't handle a dispute with another member then contact a member of staff and we'll do our best to settle the situation.
2.) No Spamming!
Spamming is where you post one liners, one word responses, or spam your site link all over the board. Don't do it! The only exception to posting one liners and one word responses is in the "Forum Games" section of the site and you can advertise your site in your profile, sig space, and the Advertise Your Forum board. Nowhere else.
3.) No Hotlinking!
Hotlinking is when you rip off an image's URL and host it on the site. Don't do it! Please use a free image uploading site such as Imgur, Photobucket, or Imageshack. You can also upload pictures directly from your computer to your profile through the avatar section.
4.) No Godmodding!
Godmodding is when you have an all powerful character void of weaknesses and character flaws. This is simply not how role-playing works. Please give your character weaknesses and flaws to balance them out.
5.) No Powerplaying
Powerplaying is when you describe an attack, say that it hit, and then say how much damage it did. Don't do it! Please allow for players to have their character respond by either taking the hit, blocking, dodging, or countering said hit. Alternatively, don't get caught avoiding everything as that can be another form of godmodding.
6.) No Metagaming!
Metagaming is where you take information you acquired OOC (out of character) and use for your character IC (in character). Don't do it! All information your character knows must be explained through IC means.
7.) No Killing!
Do not kill another player's character without their expressed consent. If you do decide to kill off a character you can always bring them back at a later time. Death is not always the end.
